Mid placement reflection
I am still fairly attached to my teaching philosophy, however, after being in the 'real world' see it being pushed aside whilst I float down the same river with the others.
I had chosen my philosophy after observing children of all ages (my daughters included) and abilities (special needs included) become engaged in activities that used all senses and for all those points in my Pre-placement reflection.
To be able to implement this in totality is to have an integrated curriculum. Now in my practical placement at mid point I see this is not achievable (as I had envisioned) for the following reasons:
Whole school approach to integrated curriculum is needed
Teachers are already time poor to consider re-writing programs
National curriculum will be implemented soon
Being an early service teacher exerts no authority on grade/school coordination
Being an early service teacher really requires some experience first
